About
Wendy Osborn
Psychotherapist – Yoga Teacher – Spiritual Mentor
Wendy’s deepest calling manifests through being a lifetime student of the spiritual dimension of existence. Having studied with and been influenced by one teacher for many years, she experienced a spiritual crisis resulting in the need to to find the truth as it presented itself to her without the intermediary of the guru.
Because of her history and naturally empathic temperament, Wendy is highly attuned and adept at supporting each person as they evolve over time. Her present practice centers around the Diamond Approach, Pranakriya Yoga, and the chanting of mantra, with a deep bow to the ultimate teachers: Life, Death and the Inner Guru.
Wendy has been a licensed clinical social worker since 1984 and in private practice since 1988. In addition to being a psychotherapist in private practice, Wendy had the honor of working for 3-½ years as a hospice social worker. She has experience in community mental health, working with the developmentally disabled, and in the field of addictions and eating disorders.
Wendy welcomes whatever shows up in each session and encourages you to do the same. She utilizes approaches from clinical and spiritual frameworks, including Buddhist and Yoga Psychologies and the Diamond Approach, a spiritual path synthesizing Western psychology and spirituality.
Additionally, she is trained in and has great regard for Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family System’s, Psychodynamic theories, and EMDR.
“I wish I could show you,
When you are lonely or in darkness,
The Astonishing Light
Of your own Being!”

Testimonials
“I am at a stage and place in my life where I want and choose to actively engage in the healing process of my journey. I chose to engage in therapy not because I still felt as if something was wrong with me, but rather I suspected something was actually quite lovely and right. I am also a spiritual practitioner and a person who understands that my psychological history is part of my spiritual nature and that engaging in this work would allow me to open the door to a deeper connection with spirit. For these reasons, I chose to seek out a knowledgeable and skilled therapeutic professional versed in spirituality and the spiritual dimension of life, who could engage and collaborate with me on my pathway of discovery. I am deeply grateful to Wendy and the work that we have been able to do together.”
“I have struggled with an eating disorder for over twenty years now. I met Wendy about seven years ago and through our journey together, I was able to conquer this illness and become stable on medications that actually yielded a positive outcome. Prior to meeting Wendy, I had seen several therapists, but none were able truly help me conquer this disease. Ironically, a good male friend of mine found her after doing much research on therapists who specialize in eating disorders. Wendy was located an hour from where I live, so initially I didn’t think it would workout due to the travel constraints. However, we connected right from the start on a very spiritually basis, so I made the hour drive back and forth every week for years to work with her. During this period, we worked on spiritual growth, EMDR, learning to love myself, and what the real issue was behind ED. ”
“Wendy is a fabulous therapist. I came to her at the lowest point in my life. Although I have been a shamanic healer, coach, and guide for others for over 15 years, I found myself in such intense physical pain that it left me unable to care for myself on basic levels. I had searched for answers but there was little physical cause of my pain and insomnia. I began the work of unraveling what could be the psycho-spiritual cause of what felt like a life-threatening situation. Wendy was a key person in supporting me to rise out of the darkness – with gentleness , persistence, and calm – helped me to re-access my own power in a wise and somatic way. She helped me connect with and tenderly embrace my most wounded parts, and to directly re-experience my beauty and purpose, thus helping me restore my faith in myself and what I am here on Earth to do. I will always be grateful for her love and support.”
